Marco Reijnen Dutch Champion Underwater Photography 2023

Marco Reijnen from Tilburg was crowned Dutch Underwater Photography Champion 2023 last Saturday in Theater Vianen. The 51-year-old Reijnen owed his overall championship to, among other things, a gold medal for his photo in the 'Wide Angle' category and his bronze medal in the 'Theme' category. '.

In the overall rankings, Reijnen finished in first place and German underwater photographer Peter Schultes took home the silver medal. Henny Blokvoort won the bronze medal in the overall classification.

Johannes Heldens extends Film title
The 40-year-old underwater filmmaker Johannes Heldens from Nijmegen extended his title and won the Open Dutch Film Championship 2023 for the second time in a row with his entry 'The contract'. Diederik van den Berg came second and Jos van Zijl finished third in this film category. .

More than 150 visitors enjoyed an evening full of beautiful images of underwater nature, mainly made in the Netherlands. The participants competed for medals in various categories.
