Discover the Underwater World with Sammie

At Open Ocean Field Station we believe in opening up new opportunities for young people. Sammie, our experienced diving instructor, leads this mission with passion and expertise. With a background in education and years of experience in international classrooms, Sammie discovered diving in middle age. Now, as a certified PADI and RAID master instructor, she is committed to bringing her love of diving to young people.

Diving is more than just a sport; it is a window to a world full of adventure, exploration and learning experiences. It enables young people to experience themes such as the environment, sustainability, life balance and well-being in a unique way. For 70%, our planet consists of water, a world that remains largely unexplored by many. Sammie and our team at Open Ocean Field Station want to make this unprecedented world accessible.

Whether you are a novice diver, an experienced underwater adventurer, a young person, parent, teacher, or owner of a dive center or resort, we offer a variety of opportunities to delve into the underwater world. Our programs are designed to engage young people of different ages and backgrounds in diving and related activities.

A graduate of the University of Cambridge with a degree in Education, Sammie is also the Volunteer Programs and Community Projects Coordinator at the award-winning Roots Red Sea/Pharaoh Dive Club in El Quesir, Egypt. Her experience and dedication make her an ideal guide for young people who want to discover the wonders of the underwater world.

Discover with us the possibilities that diving offers, and experience for yourself how it can influence the future of our planet. Together we can inspire a new generation of underwater explorers!
