Sea First, education about the ocean
The Sea First Foundation will also be featured at Duikvaker this year and is more combative than ever!
Sea First's core activity is education about the ocean and everything that lives, grows, purifies, flows and… goes wrong in it. Sea First is represented by people who, just like you, have a huge passion for the ocean and diving. But, as visitors to Duikvaker are no doubt aware, this special and useful ecosystem is under threat from pollution, warming, acidification and over-exploitation. Sea First wants to counter this by educating (young) people about the sea as much as possible. Because education is the way to respect and protection.
Lectures, lessons and lesson packages
Sea First gives many lectures and lessons. In the past two years, more focus has been placed on online education, but there has also been a lot of work on creating teaching packages. Schools can of course still invite Sea First for a FREE guest lesson, in class or online, but now a lesson package can also be ordered. In this way, an educational institution can get started with a ready-made package for students and teachers. Themes covered by the teaching packages are: The Plastic Soup, Coral Reefs and Mangrove Forests and The Ocean, the Climate and Our Health.
Do you want future generations to be more aware of the ocean and the earth? Help and become a member of our Sea First community, from 5 euros per month or 45 euros per year. Receive a wonderful welcome gift directly at the stand.
