Shipwrecks, gold and headhunters
That is the intriguing title of Vic Verlinden's new book that was presented earlier this month. Duikvaker is now also in possession of a copy.
The book is a true story of 45 years of diving into shipwrecks, caves and abandoned mines. At extreme depths and sometimes in very dangerous conditions. Also on historic wrecks such as the Lusitania and the HMHS Brittanic (sister ship Titanic). Several of Vic's friends lost their lives in such dives. He was also the first Belgian diver to explore the Viroit cave system in Albania. A number of times he himself got into trouble during expeditions that took him to all corners of the world.
Vic will also give a presentation about his experiences during Duikvaker on April 2 and 3, 2022. His latest book is of course also available at the fair. Keep the newsletter from Duikvaker: The Dutch Dive Show stay tuned for more news. Or follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
