Help your dive buddy with a disability
Speaker: Chris Azab
About the presentation
What techniques do you use to dive with people with disabilities, which can be physical or mental. This includes people who have a muscle disease, who are missing an arm or a leg, who are autistic, who have PTSD, who have suffered whiplash or who have poor vision. Above water these people need help, do they also need that help underwater? Put yourself in the position of the disabled diver and try adapted techniques for yourself. How do you actually teach someone with a disability? Become more aware and observant when diving with someone with a disability.
A mini workshop is also included during the presentation.
