Duikvaker goes to great depths!
Duikvaker always goes in-depth and the 26th edition on 3 and 4 February 2018 is no exception. Ambassadors of recreational diving share their passion and knowledge in the seminar venues, on stages, at theme tables and at their stands.
Photo and film
Duikvaker showcases the most beautiful photos and films. Underwater photographer Dos Winkel will give a presentation showing his marine animal portraits. At the DuikeninBeeld stand, visitors vote for the photos that they want to hang during the entire dynamic expo. Ronald Faber, who won silver for the Netherlands at the European Championship of`` Underwater Photography, will show the amazing things that you can do with a simple underwater camera. If you want to learn something new, pull up a chair at one of the theme tables or take one of the short workshops at one of the stands.
Technical diving
If you want to know more about sidemount diving, join Chris Azab in the theatre. Diving gas management is also a subject that will be covered at the Duikvaker. And if you want to experience extreme diving, then join one of the extreme diving expedition presentations.
Flora and fauna
The nature underwater is beautiful and everyone wants to keep it that way! Organisations, such as Stichting ANEMOON, Duik de Noordzee schoon and Project Baseline, each works in its own way to monitor or protect the underwater world. There is certainly a role that you can play too!
Freediving
In the Freediving theatre, world champions and record holders such as Nanja van den Broek and Jeanine Grasmeijer will enchant audiences with their stories and will take them down into the depths with one breath.
Dive travel
Your dive holiday starts at Duikvaker! There is plenty of information about dive travel, not only to far tropical destinations, but also closer to home in Europe. Get that holiday feeling in the theatres and stands!
