Scubapro Galileo Hud presents diving data on goggles

Scubapro HUD

Scubapro introduces the Galileo Hud computer during the Duikvaker exhibition. This computer projects the dive data into the diver's goggles. 'It's the same idea as a screen from a more luxurious car. The data that you can normally read on your computer can now be seen through the glasses', says Martine Grethe, sales manager of Scubapro in the Netherlands and Flemish Belgium.

Initially, the computer was made for the military market. 'They often suffer from poor vision or have their hands full. We now also want to launch this computer for the recreational and technical diver', says Martine. On Friday evening, dealers and visitors can admire the computer for the first time. 'But we do come up with a new article in every product group. We always want to lead the way.'

Large assortment

Scubapro has been active in the diving industry for 56 years and has an incredibly wide range. From fins, jackets and computer to wet suits and masks. 'We have a complete range for the novice diver, but also for the professional diver. Think, for example, of the navy, fire brigade but also arrest teams.' The production and sale of products at Scubapro is done with the necessary love for the underwater world. 'That's also how I started here twenty years ago as a sales manager', says Martine. She herself came into contact with diving during a holiday in Aruba. 'I subsequently followed a course in the Netherlands because I was fascinated by the tranquility underwater and the small life.'

No more plastic

Scubapro believes it is important to contribute to the environment. In 2020 they therefore no longer want to use plastic in their packaging materials. 'The packaging will then consist entirely of reusable materials so that we can contribute to a better environment.' In addition, the company wants to continue to set the right course by continuing to innovate in the diving industry. 'Some products are sometimes so innovative that customers have to get used to them, but in the end it is always well received', says Martine with a laugh.
