ReeFiesta 2023 on Bonaire in honor of World Reef Awareness Day

ReeFiesta 2023, taking place on June 1, is an island-wide all-day event hosted by Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire (RRFB) along with thirteen dive partners on Bonaire. World Reef Awareness Day marks the start of World Oceans Month and is an opportunity to recognize the importance of healthy coral reefs and the need for reef protection and reef restoration around the world.
“Protecting and restoring our dynamic reefs here on Bonaire concerns us all. ReeFiesta's goal is to get the local community more involved in coral restoration and give everyone the opportunity to contribute to a positive impact on our reefs!”
– Ernst Noyons, Reef Restoration Technician | Bonaire Reef Renewal Foundation
ReeFiesta is a unique opportunity for divers of all skill levels to gain hands-on coral restoration experience and for non-divers to get an up-close look at the RRFB coral nursery and restoration sites. After an educational presentation and training session by RRFB staff and dive instructors, a guided snorkeling tour and synchronized shore dives will take place across 7 coral farms in Bonaire's waters. Participants then gather for an evening party on the Buddy Dive beach, with snacks and drinks.
ReeFiesta 2023 is hosted by RRFB in partnership with AB-Dive, Beyond the Corals, Buddy Dive, DIVI Dive, Flamingo Diving, Harbor Village, Tecnical Diving Services, Toucan Diving, Tropical Divers, VIP Diving, Wannadive, Xprodiver and 4 Wheel Diving.
Thanks to the official sponsors World Wildlife Fund, Ocean Oasis Beach Club and Orco Bank for making this event possible.
The event is completely FREE for all attendees. Registration via the web page below opens on Monday, May 15 and closes on Monday, May 29, or once event capacity is reached. Places are limited – so sign up quickly!
