The film Zilt is about underwater life in Zeeland.

As a viewer you will get to know different animals that live in the Oosterschelde and the Grevelingen. We follow the seasons.

Salty is the smell of the sea and everything that lives in it; the seaweed, the shellfish and the fish. Salty encompasses your experience above and below water.

Above water you can smell the salty air and hear the seagulls, the wind and the waves. You can gaze endlessly at the horizon.

Underwater your visibility is often limited to a few meters. You are weightless and only hear the bubbles of your own breath. In this small silent world special encounters with underwater animals take place.

I want the viewer to experience that feeling of tranquility and connection.
