In 1979 he bought his first underwater camera and made his first big trip to the Virgin Islands (United States). Later trips followed to Papua New Guinea and the Red Sea. In those regions he worked as a diving guide in both Israel and Egypt. For more than 15 years he dived with his own boat on wrecks in the North Sea. In 1992 he discovered the wreck of the East Indiaman De Roompot (1844).
In 2005 he switched to technical diving and the use of rebreathers. Vic is the author of five books and dozens of reports for various major diving magazines. His most recent book, Lusitania - The Underwater Collection, was sold in more than 20 countries. He also worked on various television programs for VRT and VTM.
He escaped dangerous situations several times, such as a raid by Papuans in New Guinea and an incident in which his boat caught fire in the North Sea and burned down completely.
Vic is currently still diving and photographing deep wrecks and is working on a new book that will be published next year.

My presentation is a selection of images that I have made during a period of 50 years of diving. As an underwater photographer I have made spectacular images in countries such as Lebanon and Albania. But I have also dived in Belgian mines that are unfortunately no longer accessible. I have also made reports in Russia (cave diving). My reports have been published in all major international diving magazines. Diving to shipwrecks in the North Sea is also discussed in the presentation.
