This is what you can expect
Diving club Texel presents their role in the discoveries of historic shipwrecks around Texel at Duikvaker. They highlight the maritime history of Texel from the 15th century, discussing important trade routes and the strategic location of Texel. Special attention is paid to the 17th-century Palmwood wreck, famous for its special finds such as a well-preserved silk dress. The club also discusses the challenges of maritime archaeology, government responses to their discoveries, and the importance of preserving maritime heritage. These lectures take place on Saturday at 11:00 AM on stage 2 and Sunday at 1:00 PM on stage 1.
