Quality requirements for maintenance diving equipment
Divers are advised to have their diving equipment checked regularly, especially the breathing equipment. Maintaining breathing apparatus is a meticulous matter. That is why the covenant stipulates that only certified technicians may carry out maintenance on breathing equipment. The covenant also contains guidelines on the use of tools and original parts. In this way, the quality of breathing equipment is guaranteed as much as possible.
The agreement is a wish of the Diving Business Group of the HISWA Association. With this form of self-regulation, they offer divers even more security and safety. Divers know exactly what to expect. They can view the covenant at the HISWA companies or download it at www.hiswa.nl/duiksport. There is also an overview of affiliated members.
Since the beginning of 2012, the HISWA Association, the trade association of the water sports industry, has also been representing the interests of companies in the diving sport.
