How do we make diving safer?
Diving is a safe sport. Of the more than 1 million dives that are made annually in the Netherlands and by Dutch people abroad, one rarely leads to an accident. Nevertheless, the diver in 95% appears to be the cause of the accidents.
Based on the reports of diving incidents and accidents from 2017 and 2018, DOSA gives you insight into what went wrong and how this can be prevented. We are also happy to discuss with you how we can generate more reports of incidents and accidents. Because….only a part of the incidents and accidents are now reported to us.
If we make incident and accident reporting a normal practice and reporting has become a very common thing, we as a diving community are really learning from each other and we can make diving even safer!
