Dynamic photo contest during Duikvaker 2016 – Are you participating?
DuikeninBeeld is organizing the special and dynamic photo competition and exhibition at Duikvaker for the third time. Dynamic because as a visitor you decide throughout the day which photos can be viewed and compete for the daily price. Registration is open!
The dynamic photo competition of DuikeninBeeld has been a crowd puller in the past two years. In 2016 we will go even further with even more prizes! But the competition annex exhibition – an idea by underwater photographer Ron Offermans – will only be a success with your cooperation! And what could be more fun than having your own photo hanging in the exhibition?
Both visitors and participants win
Participating is very easy, you just have to make sure you have a place in the exhibition. You can enter with one or two photos.
The nice thing is that not only the photographers but also the visitors can win prizes! Moreover, at the end of the day you will receive your exhibited photo as a 90*60 cm (max) poster.
There are also extra prizes to be won this year. The Dutch Shark Society chooses the best shark/ray photo of the weekend (taken by a Dutch or Belgian photographer), and the organization of Duikvaker: The Dutch Dive Show chooses her favorite on both Saturday and Sunday.
Submit now for a place in the exhibition
Of course we want to have an exhibition ready when Duikvaker opens on both Saturday and Sunday. So if you want your photo to be included early in the morning and you are also sure of an enlargement of your photo for the very special price, send in your photo now for the pre-registration. The first 26 for Saturday and the first 26 for Sunday are definitely on the wall!
If you are not among the first 26 photos from the pre-registration, you can also participate on the day of the fair itself. Four new photos are posted every hour (and four others fall off)! Take your photos with you to the fair – Ron Offermans and Edwin van der Sande are ready to give you good tips -if you wish- and to choose a photo together with you, which will be printed on the spot and still participate. But be quick - the number of places on the wall is limited and FULL really is FULL!
Exhibition visitors make exhibition dynamic
Visitors can rate photos throughout the day – the special thing is that the exhibition changes every hour! Four photos are removed from the exhibition every hour: you and other visitors to the fair decide which photos are replaced by new photos. Throughout the day you can see which photos are favorite with the public. And because the exhibition keeps changing, it's important to cast your vote more than once.
Day winner
At the end of each exhibition day, you will see a strong selection of underwater photos. Then it is up to the professional jury to determine which photographers can call themselves the winner of the day – two photographers a day, because the jury chooses the best photo taken in the Netherlands and the best photo from outside the Netherlands. The winners of the day receive a prize in addition to the fame. A prize is also raffled every day among the voting visitors.
Quality print for a very discounted price
What makes this competition even more attractive is that the participating photos are printed in large format and in high quality at a very reduced rate. Inkjetwinkel from Amsterdam, in collaboration with Canon, has specially made a large format printer available for this, so that we can print on Duikvaker, and PixelPrint ensures that the pre-submitted photos are printed beautifully. You can take the photo with you at the end of the exhibition day.
Extra competition via Facebook
After Duikvaker, all submitted photos will be shown on the DuikeninBeeld page on Facebook. Anyone can vote until 29 February. The maker of the photo with the most likes wins a prize and once again a prize is raffled among the voters.

When submitting your photo, don't forget to mention the day you will be at the fair and participate: Saturday or Sunday, and where the photo was taken.
