Diving in the Maldives

In the Maldives, diving conditions are best from December to May, when the sea is calmest here. Most dive sites in the Maldives are also suitable for beginners or people who want to follow a follow-up course.
Best dive sites
The most popular and well-known places to dive in the Maldives are the North and South Male Atolls. The area of the Ari Atoll consists of 105 small islands with diving spots such as Maaya Thila or Donkalo Thila, which can only be reached by means of a liveaboard cruise. One of the most beautiful dives of the Ari Atoll in the Maldives is Manta Point. Here mantas swim gracefully past you! The liveaboard diving cruises usually sail around the Male Atolls, Rasdhoo and sometimes Baa Atoll and will often combine these areas together.
Best time to dive?
Although you can dive in the Maldives all year round, some people avoid the rainy monsoon period from April to October. The water temperature here varies between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius and the waters usually have a visibility of at least 20 meters.
Ultimate Liveaboard experience
There are several liveaboards to choose from on Liveaboard.com. The duration of a diving holiday to the Ari Atoll ranges from 7 to 12 nights. On the ScubaSpa Liveaboards you can experience the perfect and most relaxing diving holiday. ScubaSpa has two liveaboards called ScubaSpa Yang and Scubaspa Ying. Here you can relax; for example on the large sundeck, in the jacuzzi or with a massage from one of the six professional masseurs on board! There are two bars on board where you can enjoy a drink after a fantastic dive. The ScubaSpa liveaboards welcome guests who want to enjoy the underwater world but also relax above water.
