Curaçao declares the 365-day water sports season open

While most water sports enthusiasts in the Netherlands remove the boats and boards from the water and put away the wetsuits at the end of October, the water sports season in Curaçao continues unabated. The azure blue sea in combination with the tropical breeze create the ideal conditions for sporting activities in, on and around the water 365 days a year. In the winter months, Dutch sailors, surfers and divers pack their bags en masse to extend their water sports season.
In particular, the Spanish Water at Jan Thiel and the beautiful inner bay of Sint Joris are very suitable for kitesurfing, sailing, kayaking, supping, windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, flyboarding, diving and snorkeling. There is plenty of opportunity to rent a boat, board or diving equipment and go out on your own or with a guide. The island also offers a wealth of water sports courses to improve your techniques. The daily average temperature of 27 degrees makes water sports on Curaçao extra pleasant.
Sporty, romantic and recreational
Curaçao has something to offer for every water sports enthusiast: whether you want to relax and enjoy the impressive nature or get the most out of your sport. Thrill seekers go for the speed of it windsurfing or make the most beautiful jumps while kitesurfing and wakeboarding. Of course you can also go to Klein Curaçao for a romantic getaway sail for a fishing adventure or learn to paddle with the whole family, go sailing and all snorkeling the colorful one underwater world explore. Totally spectacular: dive to a depth of 300 meters with a real submarine of Curacao Substation. A water sports experience you will never forget!
Day on dry land
And, after a wonderful day in, on or around the water, there is of course nothing better than flopping down at one of the many culinary hotspots on the island. Discover the cozy cafes of the Pietermaai district in Willemstad, for example. Do you want to spend a day on dry land? Then go on an adventure in one of the beautiful nature parks, such as the Christoffel Park and the Shete Boka National Park. Or immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the island.
