Career market Duikvaker – 'Working in the diving industry? Talk to us'

For the first time, a career market for young people (and their parents) will also be organised at Duikvaker to inform and inspire them about a future in the diving industry.

On both days of the fair, you can contact the participating exhibitors for information about a role in diving. Think of training as a diving instructor, a board position at an association, maintenance technician or fire brigade diver. There are also roles in the travel industry and the media or with manufacturers and importers.

The Dutch diving market consists of approximately 100,000 active divers, 500 diving clubs and schools, 30 diving shops and 6 specialized diving travel agencies. Many Dutch diving instructors work abroad in all kinds of tropical diving destinations.

• Is the ocean your future workplace, do you want to dive every day among tropical fish and make people happy? Then get your diving certificate and then follow the route to diving instructor!
• Do you want to contribute to society? Then volunteer at a diving club. Many clubs have fun volunteer positions such as diving instructor or board member.
• Do you want to tell stories in words and images? Go talk to the diving media. How cool is it if you can inspire and inform others?
• Are you a world traveler and do you like to tell others about your experiences and adventures? Then take a look at vacancies at specialized travel agencies
• Rescuer in the making? You can take the professional diving course Firefighter Diver at the fire department. Then you go out and save people and animals.
• Handy with your hands? Then a fun and challenging job at a company that maintains diving equipment is for you.
