Activities for young and old at the NOB

Diving expedition for the youngest visitors
For the youngest visitors, children up to 14 years old, the NOB is organizing the 'Diving Expedition' again. Together with other exhibitors, we are offering a treasure hunt on the exhibition floor, just like last year. There are activities, facts, assignments and puzzles, all aimed at young people. With a real expedition guide, the children can earn a sticker for their guide at all expedition points. A full guide naturally provides a reward. At the NOB stand, the children can hand in their sticker sheet and receive the reward. In addition, a nice prize is raffled every day at the NOB stand. So there is plenty to do for the very youngest divers. Are you planning to come to the Duikvaker? Then bring your daughter, neighbor's boy and/or grandchild along! You can participate in the Diving Expedition on both Saturday and Sunday.
The NOB organizes the Diving Expedition together with the following organizations: Bonaire Island, Dive and Travel, DuikeninBeeld, Duikersgids, Onderwaterhuis.NL, PADI, Sealife Benelux, Stichting Anemoon, Stichting Duik De Noordzee Schoon and Suunto.
Time for sports!
On Saturday afternoon it is time for the great sports that the NOB has to offer! For example, underwater hockey, underwater rugby, fin swimming and free diving are in the spotlight and we show at the NOB stand how much fun these sports are. Get to know our sports, meet the committees and who knows, we might see you soon in the pool or at the free diving.
How much do you know about material safety?
The NOB has spent a lot of time and attention on material safety in the past year. An example of this is the organization of four workshops throughout the Netherlands, all of which were fully booked within a week. During Duikvaker we also want to make diving even safer, which is why we are organizing the quiz on material safety on Sunday afternoon. How much do you know about tap-bottle combinations, AEDs, RI&Es and material maintenance? The quiz starts on Sunday at 13:30 and everyone is welcome at the NOB stand!

Tips to read about Duikvaker
For the first time, Duikvaker will also be organising a career market for young people (and their parents) to inform and enthuse them about a future in the diving industry. On both days of the fair, you can contact the participating exhibitors for information about a role in diving. Think of training as a diving instructor, a board position at an association, etc.
